Wow.

Robin Williams will be David Letterman’s first guest upon the return of his “Late Show” on CBS Wednesday. The appearance of a Hollywood A-lister who can talk a mile a minute may be Letterman’s way of quickly trying to draw a distinction between his show and his late-night rivals, who are without writers and may also have trouble booking major entertainers as guests.

I don’t care if you have writers or not. You don’t need writers if you have Robin Williams. Seriously, what distinction will David Letterman make between his show and the Tonight Show? None. Because when Robin Williams gets up out of the chair, The Late Show will still be the boring, stale show it was before the writers went on strike.

With the exception of that first night, I bet Leno still pulls better ratings than Letterman.

On a sidenote, I bet Britney Spears is having a tantrum because no one invited her to the party, huh? I sure wouldn’t want to be a piece of light furniture in her house tonight. I wonder how many bathroom vanities she has left. After looking at herself every morning, she has to be throwing something at it.
