There’s Something In The Mist

When I was younger, some of Stephen King novels and movies used to scare the crud out of me. In fact, I was in my thirties before I could actually sit down and watch some of his films all the way through without being completely scared out of my mind.

I still remember the night I read Cujo. Alone. In the dark. Oh, man. Chills just ran up my spine just thinking about that book. The Shining, Pet Sematary, and Cujo scared me the most. My favorite Stephen King story was The Green Mile. I really liked that one. I think it was my favorite novel as well as movie. Stephen King is one of the few people who can take what they wrote and make it just as poignant (and interesting) in the movie.

Now he has a new movie coming out, called The Mist. I visited the movie website and watched the trailer. Three words. Oh. My. God. The trailer scared me, I can’t even imagine how scary the movie is.

So, what’s in the mist? I guess we’ll have to go to the movie theatre to see, won’t we? The Mist by Stephen King opens on November 21st.

See you there.
