You have to love “rescue” organizations that really don’t care about the animals best interest.

Ellen DeGeneres is in the doghouse with a pet rescue agency after giving a pooch away to her hairdresser because it didn’t get along with her cats.

The talk show hostess and her partner Portia de Rossi adopted Iggy, a Brussels Griffon mix, on Sept. 20. But when things didn’t work out, DeGeneres gave the dog to her hairdresser.

In doing so, DeGeneres violated an agreement with the Mutts and Moms agency by not informing them of the handoff.

When the agency called DeGeneres to ask about Iggy, she said she found another home for the dog. The agency sent a representative to the hairdresser’s home Sunday and took the dog away.

DeGeneres went public with the doggy ordeal Monday while taping an episode of her show to air Tuesday. She admitted she didn’t read all the paperwork involving the adoption.

DeGeneres said she spent $3,000 having the dog neutered and trained to be with her cats. But the dog had too much energy and was too rambunctious, she told her television audience.

“I guess I signed a piece of paper that says if I can’t keep Iggy, it goes back to the rescue organization, which is not someone’s home, which is not a family,” she said in a show transcript provided to The Associated Press.

“I thought I did a good thing. I tried to find a loving home for the dog because I couldn’t keep it.”

Who in the hell would take a dog away from a loving family? And who in the hell would pay $3,000 to neuter and train their dog? Oy.

Those people just better leave Ellen alone!

It’s always nice when people beat breast cancer. Welcome back Kylie!

Kylie Minogue’s first album since her battle with breast cancer will arrive November 26 internationally via EMI.

“X,” the Australian artist’s 10th album, will be led by the single “2 Hearts,” which will be available digitally on November 5. There’s no North American release date as of yet for the project.

Minogue worked with such names as Calvin Harris, Groove Armada, Boy George, Teddy Riley, Amanda Ghost and the Scissor Sisters on the follow-up to 2003’s “Body Language,” but it is unknown which of their contributions made the final cut.

In addition to the new album, Minogue is the subject of the documentary “White Diamond,” which chronicles her return to performing after her 2005 cancer surgery.

If there’s anything that makes you want to enter rehab, it’s getting married.

Newlywed country singer Joe Nichols has entered rehab, his rep says.

“As Joe has alluded to in interviews over the past year, he has struggled with the issue of substance abuse,” his management team said in a statement posted on his Web site. “In order to become a healthier person and deal with long standing issues, he has entered into a rehabilitation program for consultation and treatment.”

The announcement comes just one month after the “Another Side of You” singer, 30, wed his girlfriend of 12 years, Heather Singleton, 30.

Okay, Okay, I’m kidding. Jeez. Glad to see you sought help Joe, you’re an awesome performer.

I bet she’s wishing she performed that 30 days of community service huh?

Actress Michelle Rodriguez was sentenced on Wednesday to 180 days in a Los Angeles jail for violating her probation on previous drunken-driving and hit-and-run offenses.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ordered the former “Lost” actress to jail after she admitted failing to complete community service obligations contrary to a signed document stating otherwise, city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said. She must start her term by Christmas Eve.

Rodriguez, 29, was also found to have consumed alcohol on at least three occasions while wearing a monitoring bracelet around her ankle, in violation of a probation requirement she refrain from drinking for 90 days, Mateljan said.

When she was first arrested she served just 4 hours and 20 minutes, because of overcrowding at the jail. She was given the typical “Hollywood” treatment, so you’d think she would buck up and get the community service done so it would be behind her. Now, instead, she’ll be spending Christmas in the slammer, at the expense of the fine citizens of Los Angeles.

I guess this blows a hole in my “the girls get off easy” theory, huh?

Reality must have kicked in and he finally realized everything that has happened over the last 20 years.

Bobby Brown spent a night in the hospital after suffering a mild heart attack, his attorney said Wednesday.

Brown had severe chest pains Tuesday night and was taken to two hospitals. He was admitted to Tarzana Regional Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley.

“This morning they did diagnose him as suffering from a mild heart attack … they attributed (it) to stress and diet,” said his attorney, Phaedra Parks, in Atlanta.

His father and brother stayed with Brown and he was released Wednesday morning in good condition, Parks said.

Glad he’s feeling better now though. He’s too young to have heart problems, well, unless you consider everything he has done to his heart over the years.

UPDATE: Bobby Brown denies having heart attack. (Because people confuse chest pains and checkups all the time). Maybe they were just confused because of the healthcare cart with all the medications being so close to his bed.

Wow, the judges in Los Angeles are getting tough.

Kiefer Sutherland pleaded no contest Tuesday to a charge of driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit and will serve 30 days in county jail under terms of a plea agreement.

Attorney Blair Berk entered the plea on behalf of Sutherland, who was not present.

As part of the arrangement, Sutherland must also enroll in an 18-month alcohol-education class and attend weekly alcohol-therapy sessions for six months.

It makes you wonder though. If he was female, would he still be doing 30 days?

I wonder…. What kind of car does he drive? Does anyone know? He seems like the Mustang type to me.

Don’t look now, but Lindsay Lohan is sticking around Utah for a while.

Don’t look for Lindsay Lohan on the Hollywood club scene — or any Hollywood scene — anytime soon.

Just hours after leaving Cirque Lodge treatment center in Utah, Lohan tells OK! magazine (on stands nationwide Friday) that she’s settling in the mountains.

“I’m staying in Utah until it’s time to shoot Dare to Love Me,” Lohan says, “and then I plan on returning to Utah so I can stay focused and avoid other distractions.” (Lohan has a small role in the story of Tango legend Carlos Gardel.)

But she’s not saying goodbye to the Hollywood industry. “Absolutely not — never! I’m here to stay,” says the actress, 21. “My talent is a gift, and I’m going to use it in the right way.”

Her talent is a gift? I wonder which talent she was referring too, cuz it sure hasn’t been acting lately. If she had done her own market research she would realize that as well.
