Brad Pitt has been all over the news this week because of his Maike It Right project. Now he’s in the news because he’s not quite making it right.

After a day of sightseeing in the city, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie left the kids with their nannies and hit the Hamptons yesterday.

The celebrity couple hosted a lavish dinner party to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims at the home of Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, the married couple who co-founded the Tribeca Film Festival with Robert De Niro.

The swanky fund-raiser was held to promote Pitt’s Make It Right project, which is focused on rebuilding New Orleans’ impoverished Ninth Ward with environmentally friendly homes.

Nothing says “I love the environment” like spearheading a project to build environmentally friendly homes, right? What do you say then, when the said “spearheader” arrives by a very environmentally non-friendly means?

Brangelina arrived by helicopter at 5:30 p.m. at the Francis S. Gabreski Airport in Westhampton after heavy fog forced the chopper to bypass East Hampton Airport.

Hypocrite.

Either way, it’s an awesome photo spread. Looking good Paris.

Paris Hilton drives without a license and gets a month. Lindsay Lohan endangers people’s lives and is completely out of control, and she gets 1 day. WTF?

Lindsay Lohan reached a plea deal Thursday on misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges that calls for her to spend one day in jail, serve 10 days of community service and complete a drug treatment program.

She was also placed on 36 months probation, is required to complete an 18-month alcohol education program, pay hundreds of dollars in fines and must complete a three-day county coroner program in which she’ll visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunken drivers.

“It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs,” Lohan said in a statement released by publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik.

She said she did things she was ashamed of. “I broke the law and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case.”

Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers says “She’s getting what everyone else would get”. I suppose that’s true, but we won’t know until everyone else gets high on drugs and alcohol and chases someone like they’re crazy. At least we all know the punishment now, right?

That’s California justice if I ever saw it.

You’ll never guess which star was spotted walking along the beach in the Outer Banks this past weekend. Okay, I have no idea either, because I have never been to the outer banks, but I do hope to change that some day. Have you been to the Outer Banks? If so, do you recommend any places to stay? What about the food?

Several years ago, in my younger days as a lounge lizard on the Las Vegas strip, I used to see lots of stars walking in and out of the casinos. While I spent most of my time at the Riviera Hotel (because I had freinds who worked there, I saw a great number of the hottest stars at the Sahara hotel. I don’t know what it was, but I really enjoyed sitting in the lounge listening to the latest bands and watching for those ever elusive celebrities.

I saw this picture before I read the article and had no idea it was Cate Blanchett.

As the ‘chameleon’ of actors Cate Blanchett is used to adopting a number of guises.

From her breakthrough role as Elizabeth I – through to her Oscar-winning turn as Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator – she is as mesmerising playing historical figures as she is modern ones.

However her next role will surely outdo all the others when her performance inspired by legendary folk singer Bob Dylan hits the big screen.

Looking unrecognisable from her usual polished blonde self, Blanchett has donned a wig, shades and leather jacket – all black of course – to rival that of the Mr Tambourine Man’s distinctive ’60s look.

I’ve never been too much of a Dylan fan, but I like Cate Blanchett, so I’ll probably watch this one.

Someone asked me the other day if I was making any money with the sponsored posts I was doing on my blogs. Truth be told, it has generated quite a nice revenue stream that has allowed me to treat my family to some of the everyday pleasures our tight budget would otherwise not allow.

In addition to the paid posts, I have been looking at different options, as I am always open to a new business opportunity if the shoe fits, persay. If you’re interested in writing sponsored posts, let me know, and I will tell you which ones perform best and which ones totally suck.

As I sit here tonight checking out pictures for tomorrow’s Thexual Thursday post, I can’t help but think of a new desk and chair. The ones I have are nice, but the seat is very uncomfortable after nearly 8 years of having my butt plastered to it. I have been looking at studio RTA furniture, and I have some ideas in mind. You never know…

When did Hollywood get so shallow? In the old days stars seemed to have an aura around them and even though they were still focused on themselves, they seemed to care about the world around them. Now, it seems, most Hollywood stars could care less what is happening in the world as long as the paparazzi is taking pictures of them and they are taking home trophies (whether they are awards or dates). What’s up with that?
