Whoopi & Sherri Are Joining “The View”!
The L.A. Times is reporting that Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd are both joining the cast of “The View”.
This is pretty decent news. Who doesn’t love Whoopi Goldberg? And Sherri Shepherd? Oh man, I love that woman.
After a tumultuous season that saw the abrupt exit of Rosie O’Donnell, ABC’s daytime chatfest “The View” is moving to bring on two new outspoken co-hosts: comic Whoopi Goldberg and performer Sherri Shepherd.
Final negotiations with the duo are underway, and an announcement of their hiring is expected next week, according to a person familiar with the discussions.
After the tumultuous reign of Rosie, it was going to take someone special to fill the wake left by the departing vessel known as O’Donnell. Unlike their decision to hire Rosie, Bill Geddie and Barbara Walters have made an excellent decision this time.
Who knows, adding those two to the roster might just get me to watch the show again. Umm.. If I ever watched it that is. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
