What is it with the “younger crowd” these days? You’d think they would want to make a name for themselves that carried respect when people heard it. It seems, though, that all we hear about is their excessive use of alchohol or drugs.

We all know that Paris Hilton, Nichole Ritchie, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears have been great fodder for gossip sites because they never stop doing stupid things. Not a day goes by that we dont hear about one of them in the news.

I was quite shocked today when I found out that Britney was actually doing something “not so stupid“.

This week’s gossip magazines are awash with photographs of Spears striding up to her mother, Lynne, on a film set, giving her a piece of paper and walking off again. “Brit Serves Mum Legal Papers: ‘Stay Away From My Kids”‘ says NW. “It’s believed the piece of paper was a letter from Britney’s lawyer asking Lynne to stay away from Sean and Jayden,” reports New Idea.

Spears’ reason was reportedly that her mother is addicted to prescription drugs and therefore should not be near the two youngsters.

Impressive, yes? Of course, it couldn’t be that simple though.

Fair enough but Spears rounded off the whole transaction by pausing in her distressed denim shorts and satin camisole to hunch up her shoulders and give a small cutesy-pie wave to the photographer. Who says weighty legal proceedings need to be silly old serious affairs? Y’all gotta find the good in public appearances, even if Mum is reportedly “slumped on the stairs of the trailer, looking shattered”.

Whether or not Britney will do something stupid again anytime soon, which is almost all but guaranteed, you have to admire her for doing the right thing for her kids (even if she did father them with K-Fed).

Before I could even publish this post, it appears she’s gone and done it again…

Britney Spears comeback pop star comeback may have hit a bit of a snag but the girl is still ready to seek work and make a living an insider has told Life & style Weekly Magazine. The former world wide superstar has reportedly dropped of her very impressive résumé to the local hot spot Les Deux and she would like a gig slinging drinks. Seriously? It may read like bad satire but that is the report.
