In celebration of her divorce from Kevin Federline, I have chosen Britney Spears as this weeks train wreck.
Although, I don’t think the divorce is what made her flip out last week.
Shooting on Britney Spears’ new music video was stopped after the singer
reportedly “sobbed hysterically” during a pole dance routine. The troubled star, who was filming the promo for new single ‘Give Me More’,
apparently looked “dead-eyed” and “disorientated” and became paranoid during
her raunchy pole dance last Wednesday (07.25.07).A source said: “Britney was rude, and she chain-smoked and drank an enormous
amount of Red Bull throughout the shoot.“She had a problem with the extras watching her pole dance, suddenly she was
in floods of tears. It was sad to witness.”

What is up with Elisabeth, and why do women think they need to look more “plastic” these days?

I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I prefer Elisabeth without so much goop.
Many, many, years ago, I used to hang out at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. I met some of the most awesome people at the Riviera. One of those people was a comedian named Lois Bromfield.
If I remember correctly, the year was 1984, and she was there to do stand up for the “Solid Gold” show, or something like that. I was introduced to her by the Riviera entertainment director, Barbara Hayes (another awesome person). Lois was (and still is) one of the most hilarious comedians I have ever seen. I can’t believe it’s been over 20 years since I met all of those people at the Riviera.
Anyway, back to the memory…
I was going to be taking a road trip to Southern California and she invited me and a friend of mine to stop by her place while we were down there. We almost didn’t call her, because we were nervous about seeing her again. Heck, she was a “big celebrity” in our eyes, and we were just a couple of punks from Vegas. But, we worked up the nerve and stopped by for a bit. She was a gracious hostess and was one of the most down to earth people I have ever met in my life. I wish now that I had kept in touch with her. Oh sure, she’s a famous writer and producer now, and she probably doesn’t even remember the scrawny kid from Las Vegas who had stars in his eyes and wanted to become a manager just so he could work in the entertainment industry (yes, that was a dream from long ago).
Here is Lois in a clip I found on YouTube.
As I typed this post, my mind wandered back and remembered those nights, sitting in the Riviera Lounge with people like Annie Lawrence, Kenny Sakamano, The Smother’s Brothers (well, Tommy anyway), and Lois. Wow. I feel old now.
Happy Monday!

When I started TinselTown Trash, I did so because I have always been fascinated with certain aspects of Hollywood.
During my mid-twenties I would take weekend road trips to Southern California from my home in Las Vegas. On more occasions than I can remember, I would end up at a cheesy little motel off the 101. From there, Hollywood was mine for the taking, for two days anyway. I loved exploring parts of Hollywood, and the entire area, that many people ignored. I found that cheesy motel by chance but I stayed there every time because it reminded me of days gone by. You could feel it’s history when you stayed there.
This weekend I discovered a great website called LA2DAY. I love that site. They don’t focus on the stars, or the trash. They focus on what’s happening all around Los Angeles, without focusing on the celebrities. Whether you’re looking for an LA nightlife guide, Music in Los Angeles, Hollywood fashion, or restaurant reviews, they have a ton of behind the scene information, and you’re sure to find what you’re looking for.
They have an excellent post up about traditional theaters across LA. Many people today have no idea what a traditional theater is, but when you see a movie in one, you’ll never want to visit the multi-plex monstrosities again. Traditional theaters offer a very intimate movie experience, with traditional seating, lower prices, and movies you might not see anywhere else.
One such place they mention in their post is the New Beverly Cinema. Talk about a place where you can feel it’s history. As I read their article, I was caught up in my own history.
I walked into “The Beverly” almost two decades ago, when a friend and I discovered it on one of my first trips to Hollywood, but those memories will have to wait for another day.
If you’re looking for less tinsel, and more town, LA2DAYis the premiere Los Angeles lifestyle source you are looking for.

Pretty cool stuff if you ask me.
Until today, I always thought Paul Stanley was an old man.
Paul Stanley, a singer and guitarist with rock band Kiss, was forced to pull out of a show in California on Friday after his heart started beating at more than twice the normal level, he said on his Web site.
The apparent tachycardia happened while the band was rehearsing for a performance at a casino in San Jacinto, California, about 90 miles east of Los Angeles.
“My heart spontaneously jumped to 190 plus beats per minute, where it stayed for over an hour necessitating paramedics to start an IV and give me a shot to momentarily stop my heart and get it into a normal pattern,” Stanley, 55, wrote on his site (http://www.paulstanley.com)
Until I realized he’s only 13 years older than me. ((sigh))
The L.A. Times is reporting that Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd are both joining the cast of “The View”.
This is pretty decent news. Who doesn’t love Whoopi Goldberg? And Sherri Shepherd? Oh man, I love that woman.
After a tumultuous season that saw the abrupt exit of Rosie O’Donnell, ABC’s daytime chatfest “The View” is moving to bring on two new outspoken co-hosts: comic Whoopi Goldberg and performer Sherri Shepherd.
Final negotiations with the duo are underway, and an announcement of their hiring is expected next week, according to a person familiar with the discussions.
After the tumultuous reign of Rosie, it was going to take someone special to fill the wake left by the departing vessel known as O’Donnell. Unlike their decision to hire Rosie, Bill Geddie and Barbara Walters have made an excellent decision this time.
Who knows, adding those two to the roster might just get me to watch the show again. Umm.. If I ever watched it that is. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
I’ve been watching Days Of Our Lives since the summer of 1974. My favorite character, by far, is Stefano DiMera, played by Joseph Mascolo. If I ever had the chance to meet an actor, from television or movies, I would want to meet him.
Of course, we would need someone to take pictures because I would pass out from the excitement of the moment, and I would need to look at the photos in a digital frame to remember it all.
