I guess we’ll find out if money can keep a bad girl out of jail. Then again, if she goes to jail she’ll have a lot of time to catch up on her reading, won’t she?
Prosecutors have asked a judge to revoke Paris Hilton’s probation for reckless driving, which could lead to jail time for the socialite, the City Attorney’s Office said.
A hearing has been set for April 17 for prosecutors to argue that Hilton, 26, violated the terms of her probation by knowingly driving with a suspended license, said Nick Velasquez, a spokesman for the city attorney, Rocky Delgadillo.
The hotel heiress and star of the reality TV show The Simple Life was sentenced to three years probation in January after pleading no contest – the equivalent of a guilty plea – to alcohol-related reckless driving.
Five weeks later, police pulled Hilton over again in the city of West Hollywood for driving without headlights and impounded her car, a $190,000 Bentley, when they discovered her license had been suspended, authorities said.
Darn these pesky prosecutors, don’t they realize a girl needs to be out in the open air for her “personal” time?

I know you’ve been waiting on pins and needles for this announcement.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have reached a settlement in their divorce, a spokesman for Federline’s attorney said.
After a five-hour meeting Thursday with their attorneys present, Spears and Federline signed “a global settlement on all issues of their marriage,” said Michael Sands, a spokesman for Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan.
Sands declined to elaborate on terms of the settlement, saying only that it covers child custody and financial matters.
Spears’ attorney, Laura Wasser, declined to comment.
The settlement came more than a week after Spears checked out of a luxurious rehab center.
Rumor has it that Kevin is only getting a cool $1 million. Isn’t that a bad thing, considering how much money she has?

Is it really an “honor” to get a star on the Walk of Fame if you have to pay for the star yourself?
Halle Berry is set to join Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and join more than 2,000 legends from stage and screen history.
The Oscar-winner will be presented with her own square on Hollywood Boulevard on April 3rd where she will be met by the honorary mayor of Hollywood, Johnny Grant, and the president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Leron Gubler.
As number 2,333 on the walk, Halle will be handed her own slice of Hollywood history with the iconic star embedded in a pink and grey slab.
Joining a long list of greats to have been immortalised in the same way since it began in 1958, she is also expected to be greeted by some of her fellow stars.
Of course, honor or not, I won’t pass up the chance to feature Halle here on Tinseltown Trash.

She’s strange, she’s quirky, she’s a great musician. She’s a very smart woman.
Wynonna Judd said she filed for divorce Tuesday from her estranged husband, Dan R. Roach, after his arrest in Texas on sex charges involving a minor.
Roach was arrested Thursday in Abilene and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child younger than 13, according to Nashville police.
He was expected to be extradited to Nashville, said police spokesman Don Aaron.
“I am obviously devastated,” Judd said in a statement posted on her website. “Our family will pull together, begin the healing process and hopefully – by the Grace of God – become stronger. We will move forward with our faith, family and our friends to find resolution to this difficult situation.”
He’s a sick pervert. I hope he rots in jail, and I hope she has the strength to move forward.

I first heard (and saw) Samantha Fox when I was a student at UNLV. But, wow, does time fly or what?
A life-size marble statue of the former glamour model Samantha Fox is to be erected in Serbia after she agreed to sing at a pop festival.
Locals in the southern Serb town of Cacak raised the money to show the 1980s model turned pop star how delighted they are about her visit. Obrad Banovic, a fan, said: “We love her. She is an authentic sex symbol of the 1980s, so why shouldn’t we have a monument to her. Other towns have their heroes in parks, so why can’t we?
“We are also aware that her most famous attributes may require special treatment, so we are planning on using the best quality marble only.”
The idea for the statue came after Fox agreed to take part in a music festival in Cacak next month.
What do you think? Are they a crazed community that adores western pop icons of the 1980’s or do they know a great singer when they see one?
Just for information, one nearby town is planning to put up a statue of Rocky Balboa, and another town erected a stature of Bruce Lee back in 2005.
Me? I don’t think it’s so much about the music.

Today, they announced that Anna Nicole Smith died from an accidental drug overdose.
Anna Nicole Smith’s death was due to an accidental drug overdose, Florida’s Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger said Monday.
“We are convinced this was an accidental overdose,” Tiger said.
Tiger added that there was no evidence of illegal drugs being involved in the former Playboy Playmate’s death, and there was nothing found on the computer of Smith’s companion, Howard K. Stern, or anywhere else to indicate foul play.
“The cause of death effectively closes the case of the death of Anna Nicole Smith,” Tiger said.
Dr. Joshua Perper, the medical examiner for Broward County, Fla., delayed releasing Smith’s autopsy results because of additional evidence, still not publicly released, about what had left the model unresponsive Feb. 8 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.
Meanwhile, a newly discovered photograph reportedly shows Smith, eight-months pregnant, with an infection on her leg. Sources told the Web site TMZ.com that it was caused by an injection.
She was always Anna Nicole. No matter what the world thought of her, or what was going on, she did things her way. She was an independent spirit and she never changed for anybody. That’s what I’ll remember about Anna Nicole Smith.

As of today, I am taking over as owner of TinselTown Trash.
Scoop had a blast posting, for a while, but he can no longer keep up with the demands of blogging. Whatever those are.
I have always been a “Hollywood Junkie” of sorts, so this should be fun I am going to try and keep the same feel on the site, well, except for the new template and the fact the site is now running on Movable Type.
If you have any idea, you know, as to what you would like to see on the site, let me know. At this point I am still open for ideas.

I always enjoy watching Kate Winslet.
Titanic didn’t exactly lend itself to a sequel, but that won’t stop Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio from reuniting onscreen.
The actors, who portrayed star-crossed lovers in the 1997 shipwreck blockbuster, are due to team up again on the DreamWorks drama Revolutionary Road, Daily Variety reports.
I The picture, based on Richard Yates’ critically acclaimed 1961 novel about postwar disillusionment, will be directed by Oscar-winning American Beauty helmer Sam Mendes—who is also Winslet’s husband. (Awkward love scene alert.)
I have this sinking feeling this movie won’t even come close to Titanic.
