Imagine The Lifeforms
Is it just me, or do you get the eeby jeebies when you see pictures of Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears lately? Seriously, I think anyone who associates with them should be wearing disposable gloves and face masks for their own protection. Some of the younger women in Hollywood need to make some serious New Year’s resolutions.
Then again, I have been known to be a little over zealous when it comes to dirt phobias. Maybe, one day, I will tell you about the whole plastic silverware I used to carry in my shirt pocket.
Lindsay Lohan Has “Contributed To Cinema”?
You know the world is going to hell in a handbasket when we read the following…
We thought it was coming up to New Year’s not the start of April, but apparently Lindsay Lohan’s picking up an award for her “contribution to cinema” tomorrow.
The party-loving 21-year-old is in Italy to attend the Capri Film Festival, where she will pick up the award at a black-tie dinner tomorrow night.
Her contributions to cinema? Who in the hell started this revisionist history thing, because people are getting a bit carried away. Lindsay Lohan?
I personally wouldn’t want to be anywhere near Miss Lohan. I wouldn’t want to be at the dinner, I wouldn’t want to be in the same city, heck you couldn’t pay me enough to sit on the same plane with her. Those who do, however, should purchase lots of travel insurance, because you never know what you might catch.

I Kind Of Miss People Magazine
When my mom moved in with us until her senior living apartment was available, I got an added bonus. She changed her address (of course) and we were receiving her People magazine for a while. It was cool reading more the stories more in-depth, but I still prefer the online version more.
No, this does not mean I want my own subscription, cuz I can always read mom’s when she is done with it.
Sphere: Related ContentA Special Thanks To The Burn Lady
In that last post, I forgot to mention something. and since I never “edit” posts unless they are really newsworthy, I thought I would say thanks to the woman who sent me the link to the website selling Miracle burn.
I appreciate the thought, but I am still convinced that I will do better on a “non-diet pill controlled” diet plan. In the long run I think it’s healthier too. But, again, thanks for the link.
Any New Years Resolutions?
The end of the year is almost here, have you made your New Year’s resolutions yet?
Me? I don’t usually make them because I know, before 12:01 on New Years Day, I will break them. It always happens.
One thing I will be working on, however, is losing weight again. Why? Because I gained back quite a few pounds over the holidays. I think it had something to do with being laid up on painkillers.
So I am breaking out Calorie King again, and I will be watching what I eat starting at 12:01 on New Years Day. Yep. I don’t think I will have to buy hoodia either, like many have recommended. I think if I stick with it, I’ll do just fine.
Merry Christmas
The Birth of Jesus
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register.
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
The Shepherds and the Angels
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful, and very Merry Christmas!

Having wrapped up our Christmas shopping in the past week, I am completely and utterly exhausted. Even though we started early this year, it seems we went into every single type of store you can imagine, all in the act of finding the right gifts.
I think the only type of store we didn’t spend any time in at all this season, was furniture stores. We’ll be doing plenty of that come tax time, I am sure.

One thing that confuses a lot of my friends is the fact that I tend to lean toward the conservative side of the political spectrum, but I am dedicated to doing what I can to help the environment. I know, you are not the first person to think, “huh?”
When it comes to items around the house, or the cleaners we use, I like to make choices that do as little damage to the environment as possible, and one site that allows me to do that is GreenandMore.com. They offer a whole range of engery saving devides, solar powered devices, home decor ideas, and many more environmental products.
When it comes to choosing eco friendly produects you really cannot go wrong, and companies like GreenandMore.com make doing so as easy as clicking the button on your mouse. The company lives by their environment friendly standard as well, by using no plasticware, 100% recycled cardboard boxes, and recycled office supplies. For those who want to learn more about what they can do for the environment they offer their own blog and a learning center filled with all the facts about making eco friendly decisions.
Right now, they are also running special offer where you can get 10% off your entire order by entering the coupon code GREEN10 at checkout. You’ll have to hurry though, that code is only good until December 31st.
No More Room At The Inn
In a previous post, I mentioned all the collections we have in our house. I forgot to mention the unusual number of train memorabilia and model railroad layouts. When we first moved into the house we talked about a sewing room, an office, and a fitness area in the basement. We quickly learned that home gyms and the thought of taking up that much space was just out of the question, at least until we get a bigger house or something.

Like many people in America we have a disproportionate amount of items in our house. We have a ton of toys, three boys will do that to you. We also have a high number of sewing equipment and computer related items.
Our biggest “collection” is definitely in the kitchen though, as we all, kids included, love to cook. One thing you won’t find in our house? Well, it’s fitness equipment. Yeah, we just don’t have any more room for stuff like that, although I would love to have a treadmill or an eliptical or something one day.
