Bad news for Jessica. It makes you wonder if there is a curse on the Simpson sisters.

What was supposed to be A Public Affair has ended up being pretty hush-hush.

Jessica Simpson, who had a full schedule of appearances lined up to promote her new album, A Public Affair, has lost her voice, her publicist confirmed Monday.

A doctor warned the 26-year-old songstress to not use it or else face losing it, saying that Simpson should refrain from talking while she gives her pipes time to rest.

Under doctor’s orders, Simpson was forced to cancel dates on Today, Total Request Live and The Late Show with David Letterman. Instead, the In This Skin singer flew to New York a day earlier than planned and met with a voice specialist. “She’s on total vocal rest and some of her appearances have been delayed,” said publicist Rob Shuter. Shuter described Simpson’s problem as either a strained or bruised vocal cord.

How exactly do you ‘bruise’ a vocal cord?

Things are looking up for Miss Ashlee.

Ashlee Simpson has finally signed on to play murderous vixen Roxie Hart in the London run of the musical Chicago, a Simpson source exclusively told Star — the first publication to break the official news — Monday morning. Then, when contacted by Star, Chicago producer Barry Weissler, confirmed, “Yes, it is true. Ashlee Simpson is joining the cast of Chicago in London. We are very excited and are looking forward to gauging the London audience reaction.”

She always said she wanted a big family. If she is resigned to the fact that two is enough, it may not have been her decision, else why would she need to “resign” to the fact?

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have taken a decision not to have any more children.

The couple already have two kids together – six-year-old Dylan and three-year-old Carys – while Douglas has a 27-year-old son from his previous marriage. After deliberating over having a third child together, the pair have decided against it.

Douglas revealed: “I think Catherine’s resigned to the fact. She’s gone back and forth on the subject, but when she gets back into work, I think she realises that two’s enough and I say to her, ‘Just think of your stepson as your third child.’”.

She can slap me like a stepchild anyday.

Whether or not she can sing is still open for debate.

Christina Aguilera has gone straight in at number one in the UK album chart with her brand new album. Back to Basics is Christina Aguilera’s third album and her first number one in the UK. The soulful jazz infused album knocked James Morrison off the top spot, as his album, Undiscovered dropped a place to number two. Snow Patrol also fell to number three with their Eyes Open album, with Orson and Kooks taking fourth and fifth position in the album chart.

25-year-old Christina has already seen her single, Ain’t No Other Man go into the top ten in the singles chart. The single is at number seven.

One thing for sure, she’s hot!

Brooke Burke is ready to be a model wife and mother. Again.

The host of Rock Star: Supernova and former host of E!’s Wild On is engaged to ex-Baywatch star David Charvet, with whom she is also expecting a child, People reports.

Charvet popped the question Saturday at a summer party, presenting Burke with an eternity engagement band, she told the magazine.

“It was a total surprise,” she said. “It was all very romantic.”

Congratulations to the couple.

Isn’t it amazing how rumors fly in the media?

Jennifer Aniston, in an exclusive interview Wednesday with PEOPLE, denied published reports that she and Vince Vaughn are engaged, calling the stories “insane” and saying that “people are getting fed a lot of bull.”

“I’m not engaged and I don’t have a ring and I haven’t been proposed to,” Aniston said in a telephone conversation she initiated to debunk the engagement rumors. “Normally we don’t even acknowledge these things because they’re endless, at this point. The thing that got me was that I was getting phone calls from Greece! My Aunt Mary in Greece is getting accused of lying! I mean, they’re getting angry.

“My dad calls and he says, ‘Honey, it’s on the CNN crawl,’ and I’m going, ‘Wait a second!’ When it starts to travel over into the Today show and CNN and supposedly reliable and accurate news programs, then you just go, ‘This is insane.’ People are getting fed a lot of bull.”

I think people just want her to be happy, but I have no problem with her single status.

It’s always a shame to see people split up.

Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson are splitting up after nearly six years of marriage, said her publicist, Brad Cafarelli.

“Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson have confirmed that they are separated,” Cafarelli told The Associated Press on Monday.

The couple married in 2000. They have a 2-year-old son, Ryder Russell Robinson.

Everyone said they made and odd couple, but sometimes we see things in other people that no one else sees. I wish them both luck.

Wow. I didn’t see this coming.

Former Friends actress Jennifer Aniston has reportedly called off her engagement to Vince Vaughn.

The couple recently starred together in new film ‘The Break-Up’ and although they did not ever publicly admit to being a couple or engaged, it was widely speculated that they were gearing up to get married.

Some had claimed that the couple’s ‘relationship’ was played up for publicity reasons..this theory now seems more plausible then ever.

Whether or not they were actually a “couple”, they seemed like it. If she did indeed call off her engagement to Vince, that sucks. Then again, that makes her single again, and that makes “the new Jen” a lot more attractive.
